Purim @ Adas Israel

05th Feb 2017 DESIGN

For the last three years, Adas Israel Congregation has called on our team to assist in the development of their branding for their annual Purim festivities. Their interactive Purim experience is attended by hundreds of guests from the Washington, DC metropolitan area and is a hallmark celebration. Each year, we develop the branding and creative direction for the event and prepare branded materials, including programs, posters, and digital ads. See below for highlights from the last three years:

2017: The World Upside Down
In 2017, more than ever, we are living in uncertain times. The holiday of Purim is an opportunity to embrace the uncertainty and live with it. This year, the Adas Israel clergy came up with the theme, “The World Upside Down” to represent this idea. Our team ran with the idea, creating a brand that uses bold colors and edgy iconography to tell their story.

2016: Old London Adas
In 2016, Adas’ Purim production was Challah-ver, the story of Purim told through the lens of Oliver Twist. We created a brand identity and images that focused on transporting attendees to London, including a map of Old London Adas.

2015: The Wizard of Adas
In 2015, Adas Israel was in need of a fun and festive brand identity to highlight their upcoming Purim events and their production of “The Wizard of Oz.” We used strong iconography and illustration to create the “Yellow Brick Roadmap of Mitzvot,” guiding visitors into their Purim experience.
